TUMBLER

While researching the origins of the word TUMBLER, I learned that early drinking glasses were made with a pointed end or rounded base and consequently the glasses often tumbled over. The name obviously stuck and is used today to reference many forms of drinkware. Other meanings include, Acrobats that perform tumbling, dryers, gun locks which have a tumbling mechanism as do safes and apparently domestic pigeons sometimes tumble in flight. For my visual rendition of TUMBLER, I selected the drinkware choice, but I was torn with the impulse to use the early Dice Tumblers to MTCH the anagram with Gambling. After all, the Stock Market is a Gamble.
