LEMON NUT PAW BARS

This week’s Spinnerette was a challenge because it matched with 5 companies which garnered several choices. But, I try to incorporate a representation that echoes the Stock Market; after all, I am utilizing the top 1000 stock listings printed by the Wall Street Journal. In addition, I enjoy creating the visual pairing of the anagram with the symbolism it produces. This week’s Spinnerette could have been deciphered to convey a different message. For example, Lemon Nut Paw Bars could be viewed as a new Health Bar that Nature Valley could hypothetically launch or it could open the door to Health Stocks such as Vertex Pharmaceuticals (VRTX), Pfizer (PFE), Eli Lilly and Company (LLY) and United Health Group, Inc. (UNH) to name a few. This might prompt one to invest in any number of Health Stock options. I on the other hand, like to illustrate the irony the Spinnerettes can foster while at the same time I can learn about the world of MONEY that runs our everyday lives.

My visual depiction of LEMON NUT PAW BARS could be a new Nut Bar in the shape of a Paw but I prefer the symbolic break-down of each word. Starting with LEMON which can be a symbol of longevity, purification, love and friendship but also it has a dual meaning that links it to bitterness and disappointment. Next is NUT according to Ancient Greece, is the symbol of Fertility and Masculinity. According to the dictionary a PAW states that it is of an animal’s foot having claws and pads. But I am a cartoon buff and I remember the early comic strips that called father’s PAW which can infer that PAW also represents masculinity as well as the NUT. Finally, the BARS have a number of meanings: Bars could be a rod, pole or stick and so on. There are too many to list, but I wanted to use the word to pair with the Stock Market so I selected the definition that represents a shape. In my visual rendering on Facebook, I used it as a Health shaped bar but my intent to create this Spinnerette was to represent Gold Bars which embodies the purest form of Money. Also, squared shapes symbolize Strength. So, LEMON NUT PAW BARS is either a new Health Bar or it could represent the Longevity, Masculinity, Strength and at times Disappointments of the Stock Market. At least, that is my interpretation for this week’s Spinnerette; keeping in mind that I am always searching for the Irony.

ATO is Atmos Energy Corporation which is an energy industry that produces Natural gas founded in 1906 and headquartered in Dallas, TX. The company trades on the NYSE and is a component of the DJIA and S&P 500.

LNW is Light & Wonder a Gambling Industry that was formerly known as Scientific Games Corporation. The company provides gambling products and services. It was founded in 1973 and is headquartered in Las Vegas, NV. This company trades on NASDAQ.

MUSA is Murphy USA. It is a spin-off of Murphy Oil and provides approx. 1,700 Service Stations across the United States. The company began in 1996 and became independent in 2013; they are headquartered in El Dorado, AR. This company trades on the NYSE and is a component of the S&P 500.

PEN oddly enough, is known as Penumbra, Inc a global healthcare company. The company provides innovative medical technologies that manufacture devices to treat patients that suffer with vascular conditions such as stroke and aneurysm. It was founded by Arani Bose and Adam Elsesser in 2004 and is headquartered in Alameda, CA. This company trades on NASDAQ.

Revenue US$995 MILLION - They employ approx. 3,900.
